PURPORTED “COUP PLOTTER’S CASE”CAN NOW BEGIN.-ATTORNEY GENERAL INFORMS COURT

According to information from the Attorney General’s department on Thursday, 15th October 2020, the next stage that is, the selection of a jury for the purported case, titled “COUP PLOTTER’S CASE” can now take place.

The Attorney General, Mrs. Gloria Akuffo, said the department has undergone all the required discoveries for the continuation of the trail of the case. Culprits of the case are Dr. Fredrick Mac-Palm, who has been accused of being the main brain behind the plot, senior military and police officers, namely, Colonel Samuel Kodzo Gameli, Corporal Seidu Abubakar, Lance Corporal Ali Solomon, Corporal Sylvester Akanpewon, and Warrant Officer Grade-II, Esther Saan of the Military Academy and Training School (MATS), along with three noncombatants known as, Donya Kafui, a local weapon producer, Bright Allan Debrah Ofosu and Johannes Zikpi, an underling of the Ghana Armed Forces.
These culprits have been accused and put to trial for treason felony, conspiracy to
commit treason felony and abetment of treason felony.

Lawyers in defense of the culprits claim that they have not been served with any
disclosures, hence cannot continue with the next stage of the case.
Due to this, the court has been adjourned to 22nd October 2020.
