Celebrities wades in on KNUST HOSTEL PERICE HIKES brouhaha on their various social media space. One of such is Nana Aba Anamoah, a Ghanaian media personality who is currently the General Manager of GHOne TV and Star FM 103.5 got shocked after receiving a copy of a receipt with a KNUST hostel price on twitter. She then made a post questioning the insensitivity of the school authorities and who the KNUST SRC President is? Nana Aba who seem to be more concern about the state of the hostel prices asked further questions on the twitter page.
KNUST students on twitter at the hour gave the following responses. These students includes Nana Kwesi Eshun who recently wrote a letter to the Vice Chancellor of KNUST concerning the Hostel Price Hikes.
Preceding this is a Campaign dubbed "FixHostelPrices" which was engineered by Nana Kwesi Eshun. Aspirants for various port folios including Presidential aspirants for this year's SRC Elections and the other students also joined in the campaign.
According to Nana Kwesi and this year's SRC aspirants, a survey conducted by team each comprising of some students of KNUST shows clearly that the Prices of the Hostels has increased for about 25% to 80% and this is outrageous
For most of the students, accommodation issues can only be resolved by the government.
